Charity Information Morphicon chose to partner with the Animal Adoption Foundation (http://www.aafpets.org/) as our charity recipient for 2004. Charity proceeds gathered from the raffle, the charity silent art auction, and the pet store game went to benefit needy animals in the Ohio community. Established in 1977, The Animal Adoption Foundation is a Southwestern Ohio-area non-profit no-kill shelter for dogs and cats that have been abused or abandoned. AAF provides a safe and humane environment for dogs and cats that are waiting to be adopted. AAF's caring volunteers and generous, loving donors enable them to provide a safe and happy haven for our special friends. The shelter currently houses approximately 60 cats and dogs. Our charity events, though very small our first year, raised in excess of $350 for the AAF. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the people who donated art and goods to our art show, including Eric Schwartz, Rog Minotaur, Mark Merlino, Sonic Blu, Muddie / Vo, and Cirrus Kitfox (please let me know if I forgot anyone here). We also thank the dozen or so fursuiters and others who donated a dance in the pet store to help save the animals. Thanks everyone! The AAF was very pleased with our assistance. |
