How to locate information

Before the convention

This Page and the Online Schedule (link also available on the left side panel). Are your main sources of information. As panel are confirmed the schedule will change to reflect those changes. Note that some last minute changes are always possible.

Any other information can be obtained by contacting the Programming Director.

At the convention

At the convention you will be given a pocket sized schedule that will have a schedule of events and panels. Posted next to the door of each piece of function space will be a list of events for that day in the room. You will also find large posters strategically located around the convention space displaying the entire schedule. Finally, the conbook will have a listing of all the events and panels with detailed descriptions.

Changes to the schedule occurring at the convention itself will be posted in registration/operations (in Potter Wright) as well as in the daily Morphicon Flyer.

For those event one of our volunteer will monitor badges and only attendee with a non-minor badge will be allowed in the event or panels. Under no circumstance will minor or non-attendee allowed into an age restricted event or panel.

Hosting a Panel

What is a Panel

A panel is either an open ended discussions involving some pre-determined topic, usually related to the Furry fandom, or a workshop through a major or specific task or theme, typically instructed by an individual (often a convention guest or attendee) and are often followed by questions and answer period.

General Information

A typical panel runs for 30-60 minutes. Hosting a panels mean you are in charge of organizing it, managing it and running it. For discussion panels this take the form of a moderator and for workshop this mean you need to be knowledgeable and do a small formal presentation followed by questions, or a demonstration.

Benefits

All hours spent hosting a panel at the convention count double towards the volunteer hours. Often times this is alone is not enough for a panelists to earn a discount towards the next year's convention, but with a little extra gophering a panelists can easily earn a discount.
